An announcement by Andrew Eales
President of the Awards

Thanks to all who sent their nomination for the awards!

Nominations for The Art of Piano Education Awards 2024 closed on Thursday 29th February, since when we have had several discussions to determine the Shortlist for each award.

We are thrilled that these awards have received such warm support from publishers in the UK and overseas, and from members of the public. Due to the overwhelming number of worthy nominations submitted for the repertoire category, we have decided to split it into two separate awards, for classical and contemporary repertoire, bringing the total number of awards to five (including the Lifetime Achievement Award).

We are delighted to add another exciting category – the President’s Award, sponsored by the RSL Awards:

“It is our great pleasure to sponsor the President’s award for the Art of Piano Education Awards. We see great alignment to our RSL Classical and Rockschool piano resources in the progressive approach to piano education that has been demonstrated by the organisers and we are committed to rewarding excellence. As a sponsor this year we feel it is inappropriate to enter any resources ourselves, however, we wish all those who entered the best of luck.”
Tim Bennett-Hart, Chief Executive Officer
RSL Awards Ltd

The award ceremony will take place on 17 June 2024 at the Elgar Room of the Royal Albert Hall during the Star Prize Festvial.
